Lauri Powell

I am a native of Central Virginia, and  familiar with the historical and cultural aspects of Charlottesville,  Albemarle County, and the surrounding areas, and I thoroughly enjoy sharing this knowledge with my clients.  Like many natives, I have ventured to other parts of the country for a period of time, and after spending a few years in Atlanta, I returned to the Charlottesville area with a greater respect for the rural traditions and “small town” atmosphere it has to offer.

Through my varied careers, I have built a solid background in real estate.  After spending a number of years as a real estate paralegal in the area, and I have also worked with local surveyors and contractors.  My experience in the research aspect of real estate is a valuable asset as is my experience in searching land records for closing purposes.  I have enjoyed searching land records to determine the history of properties for surveying purposes, and I also have experience with the construction process.

Having spent the last 12 plus years working in the Wintergreen Resort market, I have insight into the value of owning a second home in the mountains, or your retirement home at the foot of the mountains in Stoney Creek, also a part of Wintergreen Resort.
