To all of you whom we have the privilege to interact. These are very uncertain times. We at Roy Wheeler Realty Co. are dedicated to do what we have done for almost 100 years: serve our colleagues, friends, family, & community.
We want to assure our clients that health and safety is of utmost importance. While housing needs never rest, we have aligned our business to accommodate this by moving our agent training, company meetings and client communication virtually. If it is necessary to meet at our office, we remain open and have adhered to the health and safety standards of the CDC.
We are making sure our offices and belongings are cleaned and sanitized regularly. We are monitoring and assessing risks to ensure the safety of those with whom we work and/or serve. As things change, we will adjust our policies as necessary.
We know that like ours, your daily schedules are being disrupted. Therefore, we want you to be aware of what we are doing to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. We, together, are experiencing the same frustrations and anxieties. We also acknowledge all of us will be dealing with this crisis for some period of time moving forward.
Our first priority is our clients’ well being and satisfaction. We can assure you that helping clients with both LISTING & BUYING properties remains the highest priority. Thankfully, we have the benefit of our local and national associations to look to for guidance. Here is the link to the most recent guidelines from NAR which we have implemented and communicated to all of our staff and real estate associates. https://www.nar.realtor/ coronavirus-a-guide-for- realtors
Our local association has recommended the following for our staff, agents and those that we are serving.
Staying home if you have a fever, cough, shortness of breath or any other cold or flu-like symptom.
Washing your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
· Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
· Avoiding close contact with anyone who is sick.
· Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.
· Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or cough or sneeze into your sleeve.
We are asking for your help as well. First and foremost ,
If you have recently traveled outside the US, are not feeling well or have run a fever in the past forty-eight hours, please cancel your appointment.
Please make an appointment with your agent rather than just dropping into the office so we can be prepared for your visit.
When looking at a house or visiting an open house, please refrain from touching any surfaces, including knobs, faucets, cabinets, etc. Please make sure you or your agent have the appropriate sanitizing products so that you wipe the lockbox, door knobs, etc as you exit the property.
Sellers- We will understand if you choose to hit the pause button for a couple weeks. We will advise your the best we can but the chose is most definitely yours to make. If you decide to agree to showings, We will do our best to make sure those who view your home comply with this home showing protocol. Upon your return to the home, we strongly recommend you perform your own sanitizing measures.
There are many things that can be done to limit face to face meetings. For example:
*Getting permission to video properties so that only the buyer agent goes in an effort to cut down the number of homes the buyer needs to see.
*Using conference call, Skype, FaceTime, & Zoom technology to meet virtually
*Taking advantage of electronic transaction software when signing listings, contracts, and leases.
We so appreciate your understanding. Low interest rates and the good weather is positively impacting the home buying and selling market. We know there are many of you who want to take advantage of it. Our goal is to give you al. The information you need to make a well informed decision. Our goal is to keep everyone healthy. Please know we have your best interests in mind as we strive to do what’s best during this uncertain season dealing with the Coronavirus.
