– Positive Trends in the Charlottesville Real Estate Market

The real estate market around Charlottesville and throughout the state of Virginia is trending in a positive direction.  Click on this link for more details. https://www.caar.com/docs/default-source/press-releases/caar-2q_2015_press_release.pdf?sfvrsn=2 This report points to a continued housing market recovery for the rest of 2015 and into 2016.  The number of sales have exceeded the same quarter in 2008 which occurred before what turned out to be a more than 3 year free fall before things started getting better in late 2011 and early 2012.  Low interest rates trumped the stringent loan underwriting guidelines which has allowed the young, 1st time buyer to purchase a home.  Prices increasing modestly has also dampened the appetite of the investor which also has left room for the folks in the market to buy a lower priced property.
