RISE UP

We have entered the holiday season.  Folks are getting ready for Thanksgiving which is the gateway to other seasonal celebrations like Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanza, and of course the New Year.  This is a time to reflect on our many blessings even if we have been faced with adversity in the past year. What does it mean to be thankful. Billy Graham wrote, thankfulness is the natural outflowing of a heart that is attuned to God. The psalmist declared, “Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving” (Psalm 147:7, NIV).  According to the Jewish faith, the task is to recognize the good in what we have been given. Gratitude, known as Hakarat Hatov, is a practice and something in which we continuously work.

Our staff and associates take these exhortations to heart.  We are grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community with their real estate needs and especially at this time of year, we become very intentional about giving back to those in need.  The organizations that our company and its agents support include but are not limited to AHIP, Sara, SPCA, ToyLift, Salvation Army, Blue Ridge Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Abundant Life, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys and Girls club, Christmas for Crescent Hall, FirstTee, International Neighbors, and The Haven.  This support is not just financial but includes an abundance of volunteer hours like build days, rake-a-thons, collecting toys, distributing toys, ringing the bell, hosting thanksgiving tables, and serving on various boards.

Thank you for finding your way to our electronic newsletter.  We are grateful for you and want to encourage you over this holiday season to Rise Up and be thankful.  Resolved, Intentional, Striving for the Extraordinary with a Unique Purpose.

We at Roy Wheeler Realty wish you the happiest of Holidays.  Please know if you are looking to buy or sell any of our associates is committed to Rise Up and serve in a professional and servant hearted manner.

Be blessed and find ways to give back out of gratitude.  From Debbie McDaniel:

  • A heart of gratitude leaves no room for complaining. For it is impossible to be truly thankful and filled with negativity and ungratefulness at the same time.
  • The forces of darkness can’t stand to be around hearts that give thanks. Our attitude of thanksgiving will make whatever fears flee.
  • It opens the door for continued blessings.

Be blessed and find ways to give back out of gratitude.  We believe and trust it will change your life for the better.
