Robert Ramsey was installed into the Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors Hall of Fame on January 10th at the annual awards breakfast. Mr. Ramsey was licensed in 1977 and became the Principal Broker for Charlotte Ramsey Realtors in 1995. He became the Managing Broker of Roy Wheeler Realty Company’s downtown office when his company merged in 2013. CEO Michael Guthrie states, “we are extremely please for Robert. He has set a great example for professionalism, integrity, and service for all of us to follow.”
He served as President of the Association in 1995 and was on the Board of Directors for many years as well.
Robert Served on both CAAR and VAR Professional Standards and Arbitration for many years and served on and chaired multiple ethics and arbitration panels at CAAR and several at the VAR level. He was an instructor for PSA Roadshow for about 10 years. Taught Principals of Real Estate, Ethics, Contracts,& Fair Housing for CAAR as well as being an Ethics instructor and Mediator for the National Association of Realtors. In accepting the award Robert shared, “Joining the ranks of my mentors Charlotte Ramsey (mom)and Earnest Wheeler (Roy Wheeler’s brother) as a member of the CAAR Hall of Fame is truly an honor I will cherish for years to come. Both of these great Realtors encouraged and supported me to get and stay involved in the REALTOR organization.”
